Adam Zajdel

Adam is a third-year student at the College of Law. His first language is Polish, which fuels his passion for the linguistic aspects of law. Originally from Calgary, Adam graduated with a Bachelor of Education with a major in Spanish from the University of Alberta in Edmonton. He also played varsity football for the UofA Golden Bears for five seasons, serving as a team captain for his final three seasons.

After completing his degree, Adam worked as a practicum teacher at Crescent Heights High School in Calgary, where he taught a specialized curriculum to refugee students. He then transitioned to a small law firm in Calgary, focusing on wills and estate litigation matters.

During his time in law school, Adam volunteered with Pro Bono Student Canada's Consent Project, where he presented on sexual consent and related issues to schools in Saskatoon. In his second year, he served as a clinical law student at CLASSIC Law in Saskatoon, representing clients primarily in criminal matters and residential tenancies disputes. He appeared before the Provincial Court of Saskatchewan and acted as counsel in tribunal settings.

This past summer, Adam worked at Borden Ladner Gervais in Calgary and plans to return to complete his articles upon graduation. In his leisure time, Adam enjoys participating in various team sports, cycling, performing stand-up comedy, coaching football, and spending time with the family dog.
