Meagan grew up near Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. She studied human justice at the University of Regina, with a particular focus in criminal justice. While completing her undergrad, Meagan had the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C., and spent four months working for a law firm practicing in criminal defence and civil litigation including working on a criminal trial where the death penalty was sought and a lawsuit in relation to a police shooting. While studying at the University of Regina, Meagan also worked at Walper-Bossence Law Office in Moose Jaw.
Meagan is a third-year law student with a particular passion for criminal law, constitutional law and general litigation and will be articling at a local firm in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Meagan enjoys being involved in the community and has volunteered with the Walk-In Advocacy Clinic at CLASSIC, Pro Bono Students Canada, Pro Bono Law Saskatchewan and the Canadian Red Cross – Saskatchewan Branch. Meagan is also a member of the Criminal Law Club at the College of Law and a member of the Saskatoon Criminal Defence Lawyers Association.
